Press Release12/16/2024The Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) announces the three nominees for the position of Associate District Judge, District 4, Garfield County. After concluding the review process and conducting in-person interviews, the JNC submitted to the Governor the following nominees for this position:
- Hope Leslie Bryant Enid
- Blake Allen Gibson Enid
- Sean Karl Hill Enid
Under Article 7B, Section 4 of the Oklahoma Constitution, the Governor has sixty days to appoint an individual to this position. If he does not do so, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court shall make the
appointment.

With assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations, the JNC will immediately commence background reviews on these candidates, and interviews will be scheduled as soon as practicable at the conclusion of these background reviews.

Supreme Court
Justice of the Supreme Court, Judicial District 4To be appointed to the office of Justice of the Supreme Court, an individual must have been a qualified elector of the applicable Supreme Court Judicial District for one year immediately prior to his or her appointment. Additionally, the individual shall have attained the age of 30 years and have been a licensed attorney, practicing law within the State of Oklahoma, or serving as a judge of a court of record in Oklahoma, or both, for five years preceding his/her appointment.
Associate District Judge
Associate District Judge, Custer CountyTo be appointed an Associate District Judge of Custer County, an individual must be a registered voter of Custer County at the time (s)he takes the oath of office and assumes the duties of office. Additionally, prior to appointment, the appointee must have had a minimum of two years’ experience as a licensed practicing attorney, or as a judge of a court of record, or combination thereof, within the State of Oklahoma.
